With this skirt, I reimagined one of my most popular pieces from the previous collection as a fun and flirty piece to wear through every season. This wrap skirt, secured with a gold pin, brings together lots of fun colours including light blue, navy, pink, and coral, paired with black and white to create a plaid effect. The fabric is composed of rayon, polyester and spandex, allowing the skirt to be highly comfortable, durable and flexible. This composition creates a luxuriously soft, breathable drape whilst also remaining wrinkle-resistant and durable, making it perfect for travel whilst also allowing stretch and shape retention, thanks to the spandex.

When constructing the Cassie Mini Skirt, I was determined to ensure that the plaid pattern was consistent across the skirt, devoting much time to ensuring that all lies matched up, a feature often seen in high-end tailored garments given the high fabric use and time that this requires. In keeping with the fun nature of the pattern, I have hand stitched dark denim hearts to the lower front of the skirt with cotton thread and kept the raw edge of the plaid fabric, secured with blue stitching. This skirt features a cotton spandex waistband lining as well as hand stitched holes for the pin to be inserted through. Additionally, the waistband includes small hidden clasps to ensure the skirt remains comfortable and stable if you dance this night away.
